Does he ONLY run at night? If you zoom in far enough on the map you can see that his pace picks up at night (~10p- midnight) where the dots are more spaced out. Then around 8-9a each morning the tracker is moving much more slowly.. you can almost guess what time of day it was based on the spacing

I know for a fact there are a lot of fakers here. They are not reading the thread at all, just asking drive-by questions that were already answered, sometimes on the same page. (I bet team RY is reading every page though!) Since Asher started this thread on 6/7, it has averaged a page an hour. I can't keep up! I'm only on page 127 and need some sleep.

For those who are here for the humor of it all, I found a video that will BLOW this whole thing right over. Basically, one of Rob Young's (RY) cronies spoke to him directly and posted this video from the side of the road:

1. Guy who claims to have done a transcon with Robert Young and recently spoke to Rob (June 8th)

2. He doubted RY (like Thomas) but then RY (aka Jesus) showed him the wounds.

3. RY boldly claims he can across the US and break the record

4. Poster not good at math

5. Letsrun haters can't fathom the greatness of RY

6. Letsrun haters not skeptical, they just hater and think RY a big scam artist.

7. RY suffering from the Letsrun haters. Beginning to doubt his own greatness

8. RY has performed many miracles but the elites and veterans can't handle this.

9. RY not funded by million dollar companies and so can't be expected to upload data.

10. RY super charismatic.

11. Facts are not as important as goals. Sometimes miracles are so great that they don't fit the facts.

Pretty much all your "points" have been addressed over and over again, although your nonsense about supporting him as he's British is about the only bit of flagrant, embarrassing national bias I've seen admitted.

-He's wearing GPS watches and not uploading the data, instead going through an elaborate stagey show of taking photos of computer screens, writing log books etc.

-He's claiming to have run entirely implausible splits and routes during this attempt.

-He's claiming best times for 10k etc that are unverified and almost certainly untrue.

-There's a specific lie been propagated about him having been a member of a particular professional cycling team that common sense would suggest came from him. He has not provided any corroborating evidence or details of his pro cycling career.

-He appears to have considerably embellished his triathlon exploits.

These are the simple facts that convict him, without even bringing into the play the damning (but not quite so conclusively proven) elements such as not seeming to be around when people (THE DAMN OP) have turned up; his extremely unlikely physique (no one's body shaming, his body shame is fine, just doesn't look like a record breaking distance running, like it doesn't look an NBA player, no shame in that either); it goes on and on.

Unlike some others here, I don't think Mr Young is a terrible fraudster or an awful menace to society, just a bit of a sad case fantasist who's let this all go too far. He's no Lance Armstrong figure, bullying his way to his ill gotten gains; for me the most important thing is he needs to quit this mad charade for the sake of his own sanity.

These guys are doing major damage control.

RW left out the claims of 50 mile days at 5:30-6:00 pace. That's why I don't believe him.

Here's the KML converted to CSV format, but with all the hard parts mathed out for you (like distance between points in feet and miles, speed for that waypoint in MPH or in minutes/mile, length of waypoint in hours or minutes) and the godawful shitty waypoint time converted to a real timestamp that works in spreadsheets.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but part of the Guiness World Record rules for point to point records state that the support vehicle needs to be BEHIND the runner at all times; pretty sure RY has been running behind the RV and there's video that shows him getting shade protection from the vehicle.

Yeah I posted this on like.. page 6 or so (not sure exactly and cba to search) of this topic or something. RY claims the RV got stuck 2.5 hours earlier than the image says (so I hear from a guy that interviewed him).

Which would STILL make it 38 miles in 6.5 hours, solo unsupported through the desert in 80F+ temps at the end of a 70 mile day on day 4 after 160 miles the previous the 3 days.

For the past few days, rojo shows up daily and says an idea outloud about offering up money and a garmin and going on a road trip. Then goes away and shows up a day later to say the same thing.

How about using some of that cash kitty to pay the few (and it really is "a few") folks in this thread who have done some damn fine work... go back and read 113's account of the day they got lost in the desert if you haven't. The one really IS the killer. The jig is up right there.

Seriously, stop with the "let's send him a GPS and bribe him" thing. It won't tell us anything about where he may have cheated.
