They have been offered a state 3 times now and every time they refused. They refused the 1st time because they thought they had the power to take what they wanted and deny Israel a state in the process. Now they refuse out of pure hatred for the way the Jews have treated them since 1948 while being completely and utterly oblivious to their own behavior from 1920-2023.
How do you settle peacefully with people who try to kill your children EVERY DAY?

Once in a while I like to revisit my attitude on this.
Blaming only one side for this broader conflict is wrong.
Blaming Israel for what Hamas did to Israelis is wrong.
Blaming Hamas for what Israel is doing to Palestinians is wrong.

If a Mexican cartel kidnapped 100s of Americans - women, children and babies, and took them back across the Mexican border and began beheading the children and babies and burning them alive - would you insist that the American do nothing?!? Or would you want them to go into Mexico and rescue them? That is what Israel is doing.

It’s the same principle IF your main goal to the safe return of your citizens but clearly it is not.
The families of the hostages are not happy either.
