The Epstein files are not a top problem of Trump for me. I am much more concerned about selling sanctions relief to countries for personal business (Syria, Vietnam), selling access via untraceable crypto, selling pardons.

Then there are tariffs without clear objectives and the opposite of stated objectives are happening - prices are rising, companies are laying off and scaling back production.

Then we have attacks on free press, education, and judges. Next are the constant BS investigations and charges that won't hold up court. Trump insults people by name when he knows his minions and pardoned thug squad will harrass them to the point of violence.

That is all THIS term. Last term, there were many more including election fraud for which his lawyers pled guilty.

There is so much more, but, you just keep coming back to the Epstein files then claiming everyone else is fixated on it. Weird.

Trump won't release the Epstein files after he said he would. What most reasonable assume is that there is something incriminating in them, likely about him. Probably about a lot of other high level people who will pay him not to release it and we know he'll take bribes. Incrimination of him is backed up by him being friends with Epstein and Maxwell, his prolific sexual comments, the many women who have accused him of sexual misconduct, the two whom he paid off for affairs that we know of (payment close to $100K, not M, by the way), and being held liable for sexual assault and libel. Well, libel X2 because he just can't shut up like a normal adult.

The two most interesting things going on economically are the tariffs and the big bill. What are your expanded thoughts on them? I don't see a lot of people talking about the bill.

I suspect there are some useful things in the bill, but like a lot of legislation, there is a bunch of garbage buried deep in it. That is reason MTG later said she regretted voting for it and Musk is opposed. Here are a few of my issues, not necessarily in order of priority.

1. The blocking of laws about AI. AI is the wild west now and legislators need to react as problems occur. Most Americans are opposed to MORE tech data collection and surveillance. Federal laws are much harder to pass, so states should have this ability to react more quickly. Republicans believe in states rights. Seems like a no brainer.

2. Tax cuts. One of the reasons Trump and the republicans are back in power is they were perceived as being better for business and fiscally responsible. Leave taxes alone or raise them for the rich. You can't balance an already underwater budget by cutting the revenue stream. There just aren't enough viable expense cuts for that.

3. Cuts to safety net programs. You can't cut a budget for these programs without cutting services. Many people rely on these in retirement after paying their whole working life, others have disabilities. It is a contract with the people. It can be changed, but it must be a long slow change or many people will be hurt quickly.

I don't have any major issues with what you're saying. I have seen some serious abuse of #3, though.

I've heard talks about property tax cuts by the conservatives. As a property owner, this would be nice since we are taxed infinitely. It's aggressive.
