It's not just the absolute margins that matter, it's the swing from blue to red that also matters and Trump swung all 50 states red compared to 2020. It's not like he just got more white men to vote for him either, he improved upon his vote counts of every racial group and both sexes, especially younger voters. Not bad for someone who has been painted as the second coming of Hitler for the past 8 years.

Trump will try to do virtually anything he wants to do. He’d do that with a Reagan/Mondale outcome, or if he won by one vote.

As we’ve already seen, a closely divided Congress will make some of that hard. Thank god.
