Delaney Rasmussen is the new coach at UCLA. She is the most qualified candidate-male or female-for this position.
She should have built her resume someplace else. Avery Anderson won’t be renewed in June and the entire staff will be gone. She was hired to assist Avery as he’s the Head cross country coach now.
UCLA screwed this up so bad. This is actually hard to watch.
He just coached his women to a first place title at the South Bay Twilight. Jokes on you.
UPDATE: The salary for this position was initially written incorrectly. It is $46,000, not $40,000. This job is posted only here, on NCAA Job Market, and NJCAA Career Center. So does that guy, like, have to sign a statement that he believes the earth is 6000 years old, we all came from a literal Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden & God sent a world wide flood to wipe out humanity save Noah and his family? Like, literal bible stuff? I know you do at many smaller evangelical schools but always wondered about Liberty...
Is this a comment on the Liberty University-produced film called “The Trump Prophecy” from 2018?
She was hired to help Avery Anderson. UCLA has officially given up on distance. All the top athletes left when Brosnan didn’t get renewed. I wonder if they were honest with Delaney and told her what was going on before she accepted the job.
He did not cheat but that never matters in Westwood, the fear decides their decisions. No matter what anyone posting thinks, one year is not enough time to evaluate a coach and his program.
Considering the salary he got and budget he had to work with I am surprised they consistently placed well in GNAC. Sounds like you got cut from the team by him (or your son)?
Nothing I said was nonsense. I know the history, and you clearly don't know the present. The NCAA has changed and the strategies that built the old WSU powerhouse literally do not exist anymore no matter how much nostalgia you have for it.
I've poured as much sweat onto the dirt of the Palouse as anybody. I was one of the guys pushing the Cougs on a path back to relevance and then watched that progress evaporate as soon as I left so believe me when I say that I don't like the current state of the program either, but I understand the reality of the situation.
I get that you’re trying to defend Phipps, but it’s about more than the performance on the track at this point. Dude just had to turn over an entire staff because no one wants to work with him anymore. He’s had like 6 operations people in 4 years because he’s such a pain to work with. Admin has to be tiring of that at this point… Couple that with last place performances at conference on BOTH sides, and the fact that their lone national qualifier immediately hit the portal and if WSU renews him it’s pretty clear just how little they care about what happens with that program
Confirming Pac 12's post from a few months ago, Louie Hinchliffe is still running for the Cougs...the HOUSTON Cougars!
Washington State's proud track & field program is sinking into irrelevance.
