While researching my book "Taboo," one thing I actually looked at was how many BLM 'martyrs' had (1) been engaging in utterly normal behavior - not committing at least an A misdemeanor or technical felony, or physically fighting the police - when (2) a white cop came along and… https://t.co/kXd0TmLIen
People speeding will affect others. Just like how unsafe food will. Not taking a vaccine is a personal medical decision based in freedom. As a libertarian I don't think any vaccines should be mandatory.
Edit - I personally don't care much about abortion either if you're going to try to use that as a point. I live in a blue state where it stayed legal after roe was overturned. if I lived in a red state it'd have been illegal. But overturning Roe just sent it back to the states to decide
we take vaccines partly for other people. To establish herd immunity. To stop the disease from racing through the human herd and killing people. Because not everyone can/will take the vaccine and not everyone will survive the disease even if vaccinated.
That's how all this works. The army forces vaccinations so the unit will stay healthy and not get knocked down with, say, smallpox. Same for the general population.
Do you all really not know this? Where do you get your news and information?
There have been zero widespread, actually communicable, and actually deadly diseases in first world countries in the 21st century (I don't count tuberculosis spread by migrants as this). Covid is just a cold for healthy people. My roughly 65 year old, healthy and then unvaccinated parents, both had it and it was like a slightly more severe cold for them. We didn't lock down for normal colds and we sure as hell shouldn't have locked down for covid.
The smallpox vaccine is actually both safe and effective. The covid jab did nothing. I'm vaccinated for polio because it's an actually severe disease.
I am pleased to nominate Harmeet K. Dhillon as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice. Throughout her career, Harmeet has stood up consistently to protect our cherished Civil Liberties, including taking on Big Tech for censoring our Free Speech, representing Christians who were prevented from praying together during COVID, and suing corporations who use woke policies to discriminate against their workers. Harmeet is one of the top Election lawyers in the Country, fighting to ensure that all, and ONLY, legal votes are counted. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Virginia Law School, and clerked in the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Harmeet is a respected member of the Sikh religious community. In her new role at the DOJ, Harmeet will be a tireless defender of our Constitutional Rights, and will enforce our Civil Rights and Election Laws FAIRLY and FIRMLY. Congratulations, Harmeet!
I am pleased to announce that Mark Paoletta will be returning as General Counsel of the Office of Management and Budget. Mark will work closely with our DOGE team to cut the size of our bloated Government bureaucracy, and root out wasteful and anti-American spending. Mark is a brilliant and tenacious lawyer, who worked tirelessly to advance my Agenda in the First Term. As OMB GC in my First Administration, Mark led the charge to identify funding to build the Southern Border Wall, and worked with then-OMB Director Russ Vought to rein in woke and weaponized Government spending. Mark is a partner at the Law Firm, Schaerr Jaffe, and a Senior Fellow at the Center for Renewing America, where he has worked alongside Russ. Mark has served as a Chief Counsel for Oversight and Investigations in Congress for a decade, and was a key lawyer in the White House Counsel’s Office to confirm Justice Clarence Thomas to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1991. Mark is a conservative warrior who knows the “ins and outs” of Government - He will help us, Make America Great Again!
Trump fills a need they have. They love the things Trump says to them about people they hate. Real and imaginary people. It is a sugar high to hear Trump.
But now it is time to govern the country and the sugar high will turn into a startling realization that Trump has no real policy. Only divisive rhetoric, slogans and culture war stuff. And he has surrounded himself with self absorbed billionaires with no experience out to get their loot.
How do they get their loot? Slashing the things that Americans need for happy and healthy lives. (Clean water, air, social security, medical care)
Here's the easiest prediction ever made: There will be no realization - startling or otherwise.

it's a fundamental mismatch of citizenship based on unequal knowledge.
This appears to be a key phrase. It may become epochal going forward.

If you put out a 100 question test about Trumps impeachments, criminal and civil cases, and his business fraud cases, 75 % of the country would flunk it so badly that you wouldn’t believe they live in the US.
Conversely, the international community would probably do quite well.

Perhaps you should have said that 75% of the country would flunk it so badly that you would know damned well that they were Muricans.
Won all swing states and the popular vote by nearly 7 million votes, securing 312 electoral votes. In Texas, claimed 31 out of 32 statewide judicial benches and won every county in the Rio Grande Valley—areas that were all blue eight years ago—securing one million more Texas votes than before

Still crying I see. So sad. Move little man, move.
