Rocha stopping and starting. Still have half the race to go. Never see runners walking at 1/2 marathon mark.
Halfway?
THIRD ETHIOPIAN DROPS OUT BEFORE HALFWAY POINT
As the race approaches the halfway point the third Ethiopian selected, Shure Demise, who has run 2:21:05 this season, has joined her two team-mates on the sidelines.

Nobody neg splits today
As brutal as this is, it's refreshing to see a marathon again which is a difficult, death-defying event of monumental endurance and perseverance.
I like Salpeter for Top 3. Still in 6th but looks focused. Now about 40 seconds back
Salpeter has only 23s! She's going to run in the fist group in few kilometers
Only 52 still running?
I think she'll win, I picked her in the contest and it's looking very possible
Anyone catch the half-way split?
I'm actually sitting 5 feet from the halfway but were getting out of a bus right before they came by.
Describe the carnage!
The leaders passed21km, just short of halfway, in 1hr 16min 18sec
Is there only 21 still running?
Dimhoff and Groner now in Top 10 with the attrition up front! Looks like we lost someone from the Top 5 leaders. Salpeter now in 5th?
25k 1:31:01
Salpeter only 16s behind
Yes, one from the lead pack dropped like a rock
Is there a link to splits/tracking? This race looks nuts.
Women sitting on curbs, in wheelchairs and being loaded into ambulances. And that was all in the first hour. Salpeter still in 6th but about to overtake for 5th.

Iaaf add splits for every 5k
