what a meet - two american records, fast times in most races, quality races all around.

I wish jenny simpson would go to the lead in one of these diamond league races...she race so american...running her race and not leading. I know it works in championship finals, but in a regular diamond league meet...I'd love to see her go to the front and see what that feels like.

She isn't a 3:56 runner. All leading will do is make sure everyone blows by her on the last lap. I didn't get her splits but I doubt she was closing in a sub 60 (i.e. a lot left in the tank).

SRR did not finish in top 6 but was still in the relay pool last year. Hope it does not happen again this year

Hurdling is not all drugs.

Sure those Bulgarians were juicing but they were hardly superhuman. Donkova's PB in the 100 dash was 11:3 or so - good but not exceptional. Her hurdling technique was pure perfection though, no other woman has ever come close to it (and no man really considering how most men go through the hurdles like bulldozers). Devers and Engquist were physically more gifted than Donkova but came nowhere near Donkova in terms of technique.

If they hit their technique right, any of Harrison, Rollins, Nelvis, Stowers and perhaps Pearson can break the record. They can match Donkova in terms of raw physical ability.

I watched bass masters instead of meet. More exciting.
