We can send 2As and B, as long as the two As finish in the top 4.

Does anyone know what happens after this? Hastings and Uhl are the only 2 with the standard other than Flanagan.
I think whoever is in the top 3 that doesn't have the A has almost the whole summer to chase it.
Shalane 31:43.
Hasay 32:17
Erdman 32:25
Hastings 32:30
32:17 hasay
32:24 erdman
I'm impressed!
These announcers suck. "Flanagan broke Goucher" "Hasay gets the B Standard". Do they know ANYTHING?

Hasay closed very strong. Awesome race from those top 3! And meanwhile, Goucher ended up about 350 meters behind Flanagan. Not sure about Hastings. New blood in the 10,000 it seems.

They have up until July 20th.

Indeed. They have a month to chase the standard.

I'd guess Erdmann and Hasay will get to chase the standard in at least one race in Europe.
Did Hasay get the B at Stanford?
If not, our team may be screwed, and we're only sending Shalane.
If Hasay has the B, then Shalane, Hasay, and Hastings are going.
If Erdmann has the B, then she can chase the A this summer to try to push Hastings off the team.
Look for Salazar to set up a race in Portland in the middle of July aimed at getting Hasay and "A" and Erdmann the "B".
For anyone there, how bad is the wind on the track.
Hassay ran gutty race.
From the Letsrun preview:
"USATF is allowing athletes to chase the standard if they finish in the top 4 so it’s possible someone without the ‘B’ currently could go to Moscow, particularly since Goucher and Flanagan are marathoners so who knows if they’ll actually run the 10,000 in Moscow. More on that later."

Neither Erdmann or Hasay have the B. They have about a month to chase the standard, however. Otherwise We just send Flanagan and Hastings.
If Hasay ran 32:17 in those conditions, surely she can get under 32 in a cool, well-paced race.
If neither Hasay or Tara hit, we send Shalane, Amy, and Kara. If one hits, they go with Shalane and Amy. If both hit, they both go with Shalane, unless both hit with a B, then its Hasay and Amy joining Shalane.
Horrific attendance.
Anyone be surprised if Salazar has been training Hasay since NCAAs?
That was some impressive running, conditions were far from ideal! Congrats to Shalane, Jordan and Tara.
