If Fisher didn't go out to lane 3, he probably would have closed in sub-13. But his position heading into the sprint wasn't great. Hopefully he remembers that other guys have fast kicks and he needs the positioning plus the kick.

He does it in US champ races. I think he just realizes it's hard to do it that and win with high level international competition

I mean fair, but same story last week with Kimeli. Heck you could say same thing with Kwemoi last year. To actually win, Grant will probably need to attack the race instead of expecting it to fall into his lap in the last 50.

I'm sorry but he shouldn't have needed to. He's a 7:22/12:44 guy. He should have squeezed the pace 1000m out and took care of business.
