I don't need to "cope" with anything -- DJT's foreign policy was rock solid during his first term, especially regarding Iran. He took away their cash and then gave them the middle finger by obliterating Soleimani. We will not be manipulated by impotent terrorist states like Iran.
DJT has continued the doctrine he established in his first term and this is the express reason that I voted for him. So far, he has lived up to my expectations with regard to Iran, so this imaginary reconciliation you think is happening with those who voted for Trump is simply not happening. If anyone voted for Trump, and is surprised by how he has handled Iran, they were not paying attention.
In the meantime, I'll be waiting for the "war" with Iran to start with bated breath.

Letting Iran spend nearly a decade building its nuclear weapons program, hardening it, and spreading it out was not exactly a wise and forward-looking policy on Trump's part. But that's exactly what he did by scrapping Obama's deal with Iran simply because it was made by Obama.

Trump is not consistent enough day to day to hazard a guess as to what he will do tomorrow, other than contradict himself. These attacks are consistent with decades of American policy on Iran, only that usually we rely on Israel to stop Iran's nuclear weapons program. But of course he has given signals of much higher ambitions here, to assassinate and overthrow the Ayatollah, and overthrowing the government would require large #'s of ground troops and they would have to account for a much larger and more difficult territory than Iraq, and thus open up the prospect of a quagmire and further Middle East instability. The prospect is to get rid of a nuclear weapons program, to stamp out a state supporter of terrorism and regional wars, and to eliminate an ally of Russia and undemocratic state. The reality is that I have zero confidence in our leadership, not in that ignorant drunk in the Pentagon, not in that all-caps pathological liar in the White House, not in that set of toadies and lickspittles in Congress backing them up.
