Yeah it must be safe and effective alright,--that's why pregnant women and kids should not take it. Go figure. CNN reporting yet another CDC document citing a study that apparently doesn't exist. This one has to do with an alleged rat study on thimerosal in vaccines. The author of said study says it never happened.
This is the third instance that I'm aware of them apparently simply making stuff up.

It's hard to believe whoever is responsible for these documents hasn't considered that some people actually check references so gross incompetence seems the more likely choice.
The concern is that a key element of this administration's platform is that the government agencies protecting the interests of the citizenry are bloated and incompetent, so displays of gross governmental incompetence might be self-fulfilling thus unlikely to move their base in the short term.

It’s even funnier because they’re making stuff up about an ingredient used in one 1 very rarely administered vaccine.
The antivaxxers raised a huge fuss about themerisol in the 90s, everyone removed, and autism rates still increased.
They’re butthurt they were proven wrong and are wasting taxpayer money trying to fantasize that their natural experiment somehow showed what they want.
