Looks like a UW rocket scientist has managed to decipher my post. First of all, good job! Second, I'll provide the editorial advice that you missed putting a "1" as the first digit in your post. As in, "10/10 troll job." I see that math is as difficult as reading for the UW system.
I’m not arguing that us public university kids aren’t a bunch of dummies who couldn’t go D1. But I can tell you don’t/didn’t go to a school that is better than UW-Lacrosse either. Because if you did, you could come up with something smarter or funnier than this. You would also know that the advantages that the UW and SUNY schools have are balanced by the world-wide pull that the elite schools have. MIT, Hopkins, NYU, Chicago, and Tufts have athletes from a minimum of 14 states. Lacrosse and SUNY G basically recruit from 1 state each. They got 1st and 2nd with squads made up entirely of in-state kids who like to grind and do it for the love of the game. And while they’re obviously higher quality, let’s not act like the prestigious D3 private schools are some poor little damsels in distress. Their “disadvantage” of ridiculous tuition is self-inflicted in order to cultivate a perception of quality. But the MIT and Hopkins grads already know all this. It’s an even playing field and D3 XC is the best.
So true. 100 times over I would rather race for a blue collar program at a humble midwestern public university than sell my soul to some corporate fat cats back east.

I think the real absurdity is NYU competing at D3. They are essentially New York’s version of UW Madison, or UM Minnesota, etc
LAX gets the win, no surprise there. The georgetown reject leads Suny G to second, and Fartburg chokes yet again to wind up in third. NYU with a good day to grab a podium spot, RPI chokes yet again to miss out on their first podium and gets fifth. Leblond may have won individually, but Hopkins collapses and gets sixth. Fun race overall, D3 xc is the best.
Not sure how you can say rpi choked when they outperformed their ranking and went from 0AA last year to 3 this year. See you at nats next year-oh wait we wont.
Ah yes, UW Madison with its massive campus and top notch facilities has so much in common with NYU, a school with no track in the middle of a city. The argument about the size of student body is a fair one, but it’s just not the same otherwise

What do you mean by top-notch facilities? UW-Madison's track team has been commuting to UW-Whitewater in the winter for indoor-track access. NYU has access to multiple indoor tracks. I agree that Madison is a better place to run outdoors when it's nice out, but New York City isn't a terrible place to train and has a great running community for a reason.
I had to do the top 5 from each region by hand, so there may be an error or two. Looks like La Crosse would have beaten every region except for their own and midwest. Also looks like the Rowan coaches gerrymandering created by far the worst region in the country. All that just to still never make nationals lmao

No choke job from Wartburg. First off, 3 podiums in the last years. Only Lax can also claim that one. Second, they're 4 man collapsed 100 meters from finish line in like 25th place. Third, four AAs doesn't seem like choking. It would have been very close with Lax had their guy not collapsed. Like less than 10 points.
I don't know how these guys are going to beat Leblond in a tactical 3k/5k with that kick. Grant couldn't drop him, and Leblond was very clearly better than Bati in the last 300. No one has really touched his 3k PR either.

Thanks for doing this. Metro region champ was dead last in both men and women.
I will say when they made the regions I would have expected Haverford men to dominate every year, and usually those guys would perform decently well at nationals. But Haverford has really declined in quality in recent years.
Rumor has it(and Strava agrees) that a titan is returning to d3 in the mideast area after Christmas. The entire country, including leblond, will have their work cut out for them to figure out how to beat a guy with sub 4 speed and well under 8:00 and 14:00 strength

Leblond obviously beat Bati in the last 400, but how ‘clearly’ better he was is debatable. Bati fell early and spent half the race working his way back to the lead pack.
who knows how much that took out of him, but obviously if that doesn’t happen it’s a different race. Does Leblond still win? Maybe, but we will never know. The idea that one race indicates permanent supremacy is ridiculous. Bati/Matthai could spend the next 3 months working on their kicks. Or Van West might just beat him now in a shorter more tactical race.

"If" congrats to wartburg on winning the Hypothetical National Championship

Jamie Norton has really been putting in the miles, huh.
Metro needs to be dissolved. They do not deserve an auto team spot and 7 individuals. Maybe spilt it between the Mideast and Niagara regions.
Metro must remain as a testament to the Glassboro State (Rowan) coach’s failure to qualify as a team after advocating the creation of Metro so he could qualify more easily
0/10 troll job. Very uncreative. Is "lacrosse fast because dumb and affordable" really the best you can come up with?
I mean, is it wrong though?
UWLax is fast because it's an affordable in-state school with almost no academic standards in a state with no D2.
enough with these stupid posts about UW school standards. UW-LAX is the #14 ranked regional university in the midwest....that includes all divisions. Ahead of the private schools like North Central, and d2 Winona which is just across the river from LaCrosse 20min away.
They have advantages for sure, but I can guarantee the standards to get accepted into UW-LaCrosse are higher than most private schools, including Wartburg (who throws money at any decent athlete to get them to attend).
