Heard they were hiring somebody local but that was a while ago. Definitely would take that with a grain of salt.

Looks like Jake Krolick resigned as Director at Queens University of Charlotte, very young and promising distance program. No official release yet aside from his social media post. I believe they moved up from D2 recently, with him overseeing the program. Hopefully they see a distance minded director take the helm...

This will be the trend. The low pay and hours is causing good coaches to leave in waves. The pandemic probably taught what balance looks like and unsustainable in this day and age. Especially for those with families and young children.

Because they have a strong tradition of distance success and no on campus track facility.

You know- years ago- I'd just go to practice during track season- I had a Bill Dellinger coach cross country- we'd take indoor off- I'd pee on some guys in the shower- then we'd really get after it in the Spring. There's only one group to blame for this- it's the coaches. If you're an incel and want to just coach and live in a 1bd apartment- then this is the career for you. The days of having a family and a happy wife while coaching are over.

Academy of Art does not either and look at their track record. You can bee good at anything if that is the route you want to go. It does not have to be distance minded.
