Imagine how delusional you have to be to not understand what a disaster this midterm was for the GQP and to take it a step further - embracing the Cheeto hued loser that is Trump. The former GOP does not exist. Trump killed the GOP. Say it slowly until that sinks in. And you spend a large portion of your day defending him while parroting "I am not a Republican"
A political party not winning as many seats as they thought they would is hardly breaking news.
Over 100,000,000 people voted in the House races. 52% of the votes went to Republicans.
The election isn't the repudiation you seem to think it is.
Trump's influence on the GoP is a positive influence in the long run. The most unlikeable people in the party (the neocons) are now all Democrats.
You can keep Liz Cheney.
I don't spend much time at all defending Trump and when I do my argument is simply that even if he's as horrible as you think he is he is STILL better for the country than Democrats are.
Wow dude, the delusion is strong with you. You understand NOTHING about midterm elections if you try to rationalize what happened to you Republicans in this election. You got sh!tcanned.
Take your nonsense to Truth Social or some other nutbar echo chamber. You're getting destroyed constantly here. You must be a glutton for punishment. Your opinions are the minority here, they are the minority in our country, and they are just flat ignorant and wrong.

This; someone needs to grab him and let him know his opinion is sh!t and nobody cares. Save yourself the mental abuse adult in the room. Go play with a kitten or something.
When will you all realize that change happens at the local level through community. Then will gain attention of state officials to authorize statewide change.
Most of you have never participated in your local/state legislative process and it shows. You're simply keyboard warriors that read a news headline but don't even bother to read the article.
This is an excellent point. Many of you people have no idea who your local Mayor is and what his politics are. I used to be just like that. Whine about national politics while having no clue how things actually get done.
I was called out on this. Then I started attending local city council open meetings. I learned who was on the council, what their politics are, and why they vote the way they do. It gave me greater respect for the political system. As a liberal, it gave me much greater respect for the Republican dominant local council because I got to hear why they vote the way they do. I saw that the liberal and conservatives on the local council work with respect with each other and get along fine. They aren't at each others throats. They work well together. Our system is brilliant BECAUSE it's a mix of liberal and conservative. That's what makes it balanced and work well.
Keyboard warriors, attend a city council meeting and educate yourselves. Use your voice where it actually has power to be heard.

You think Democrats losing control of the House is a win for Democrats and I'm delusional.
lol.
I'm a libertarian. I think full GoP control is a bad thing too. It's just no where near as bad as full Democrat control.
No rational person can look at what Democrats have done to California and think unchecked Democrats are good for anyone but the rich and the drug addicted.
Mr Shapiro’s main defense of the company owners making all the money is that they take on the risk. It’s a fine defense, and I’m not really well versed in this argument, but I would guess that there’s not a whole lot of risk in America in owning a company. The rich people who own companies and invest in companies typically stay rich, either through diversification, bailouts, favorable bankruptcy policies, etc. Trump has had a lot of companies fail and it doesn’t seem like it hurt him. When enough money accumulates at the top, it heavily influences politics and thus entrenched the power of the richest class.
But I’m in agreement that life isn’t fair, and probably can never be 100% fair. I do think it could be more fair though
Adult in the room; do you ever just exhaust yourself? I mean this Schtick you have going has got to take up 80% of your time. I can only troll this board for so long before I get bored. I mean coming in to any of these threads with an actual political opinion is really just a waste of time.
Ten seconds for the moron in the room is the reason why he never has anything wise to post. I have to get pesticide to get rid of the ant beds in my yard. What does it take to get rid of the Moron.

You obviously care you burst into tears every time you see an opinion you don't like.

I lean left but I had to GTFO of CA and I was born and raised there. I believe we get the best out of politics when it's fairly balanced with conservatives and liberals. Any state that goes too far in either direction ends up with terrible results. When people just agree with each other too much, they just tend to make restrictive rules and it's seldom a good thing. 'Freedom' ends up being more rules. That's CA for you.
Now I'm in super blue CO, but it doesn't feel bad to me because I'm in a conservative county. It feels sane and balanced to live in a blue state but in a red county.
Again with the weird assumptions. I don’t hate rich and successful people at all.
You just don't think rich people deserve their wealth.
Kind of. I don’t believe the system we live in properly values and rewards contributions to humanity. I think the rewards disproportionately go to the wealthiest people. I’m not saying they don’t deserve to be rich. I’m saying that nobody in 2022 deserves to have/be worth 100 billion dollars.

Come on dude. 30% of businesses fail within 2 years. 70% of businesses fail within the first 10 years.
The typical business owner isn't a millionaire that wakes up one day and decides to start a business because they're bored.
They are normal people who have to borrow money to get started. That's risk.
Without rich people there would be no capital available for other people to borrow.
Yes, it is much easier to stay rich than it is to get rich. The overwhelming majority of rich people worked their asses off to get where they are.
I agree with you. I don't recall any of my kids' teachers discussing their private lives with them and I never discussed my private life with my students. But why did you bring this up?
The law was intended to prevent teachers discussing their sex lives with children because they were doing it.
Most would agree with this. However is it ok for a teacher to acknowledge that some families are made up of 2 mothers or 2 fathers or is this frowned upon by DeDantis? When students discuss what they did for Thanksgiving should a kid be too embarrassed or feel ashamed of their household?
I've had many "woke" colleagues, I've had a few very conservative "God fearing" colleagues buy none ever discussed their sex lives, very few teachers do and I suspect most of us would want them removed.
This; someone needs to grab him and let him know his opinion is sh!t and nobody cares. Save yourself the mental abuse adult in the room. Go play with a kitten or something.

No actually, I don’t burst into tears. Just pointing out the fact that all of your posts are downvoted and nobody cares what your opinion is.
Imagine being a Democrat and thinking that not getting blown out in the midterms somehow cancels out the fact that their president and other state politicians' policies are performing terribly. There was a reason that this narrow upset is such a shocker, and it's because Dems are just largely incompetent. Record high inflation, and crime spikes all over the country aren't going away because Dems managed to maintain a 2 vote advantage in the Senate.
Let's be honest though, Dems didn't really "win," but the Republican Supreme Court shot themselves in the foot by repealing Roe V. Wade too early. Also, weird mass mail-in voting helps Dems, by allowing the laziest in our society to vote (and vote for the people who appeal to the lazy - Democrats). Once Reps figure out how to adjust their message and policies, expect Dementia-man to be kicked out of office and sanity restored.

Sounds like nirvana. The reality is that is not all roses, especially in "executive" sessions where the public is not allowed to enter.
Our city sued or HOA because of hillside plants they claimed attracted homeless people. Never mind that the city caused the problem by hiring security people to push those people from parks and into our neighborhoods.
When the city could not legally make the above option work, they made a new claim that hillside plants were a fire hazard and should never have been allowed, and then they were give the original development documents were the city specifically demanded those "fire" plants must be installed on hillsides. . . . That didn't stop them, then still demanded the removal to solve their self-inflicted homeless issue.
Next to our HOA is a retirement condo development with a lot more of the dreaded "fire" plants. The city did not force them to remove anything. Why? Voters, and at least one of them on the city council.
All of the above decisions were made in secret, in executive sessions. No one knows why the adjacent retirement community was allowed to keep their "fire" plants.
The above is more typical about how city councils "work," and grant back-door favors to certain groups.

America has always done the best with a divided government that worked together. Reagan had a Democrat congress. Clinton had a Republican congress. Today's Democrats can't even stomach hearing an opposing POV as you can clearly see on this forum.
Also, CO is only blue because Californians moved in after fleeing their own policies in California.
If the left gets enough power the US turns into Venezuela where there's no where left to run.

The problem is they aren't acknowledging it they are introducing it.
One of the very few issues Democrats and Republicans agree on is not wanting strangers trying to sexualize their children or indoctrinate them into their world view.

Venezuela has some of the most beautiful women in the world. I will welcome them with open arms. You however are still the moron in the room who needs to get hit with the door on the way out.
