Without air superiority, you can only do so much.

So until the air superiority is established, it stops being fun and games when the Russians have no more food and zero ammunition, which is pretty much where they find themselves now.

This reminds me of 1991 and Saddam invading Kuwait. The only difference is the level of military equipment and numbers.

We are NOT going to fight the Russians. NO ONE officially is going to fight the Russians other than the Ukrainians. Any force we or other Europeans line up is just going to be for defensive efforts or to help move civilians out of the way.

Russian has been fighting Ukraine since 2014. They took Crimea. They have been inching into Ukraine since then. Ukraine isn't a part of NATO partially because we and rest of Europe would have been forced to defend Ukraine against the Russians today. This day has been coming since 2014.

The world can cripple the Russian economy with sanctions. We will see what happens.

Russia is not getting its butt kicked but the war certainly isn't going the way Putin thought it would. Ukraine is doing well with the limited resources it has.

They have not been taken over by Russia, which most people thought would happen within weeks. That's a big win as Ukraine does not have as the military resources that Russia has. In the event that Ukraine does fall, Russia will face a guerrilla war for years to come.
