it (WMU) is not a lazy hire. When you are told you have to hire a woman and you are given a crazy low salary what do you do? WMU will always have young, inexperienced women on their staff until they decide to up the salary that would give Coach Lycan the ability to hire someone with experience. This is all he can do with what he is given.
Toledo assistant is open as well. Looking for a female to replace the one that went to Columbia.
There was no activity for a little bit and now with school starting up lost of movement.

I applied at South Florida and got an email saying that it was filled. It's just a matter of the press release coming out.
Director Woody will do his research and hire somebody really good. I am guessing somebody younger, but has proven to be a good recruiter already. If I were him, I'd take a hard look at Central Mich, Harvard, Minnesota, NDSU or if he really wants to go outside the box Carthage College or Wayne St Neb...

NO list: Dan O'Mera, anyone from Carthage or Wayne State, Central Michigan, Harvard.
It seems a little odd that Woody was promoted which lead to Roberts being promoted, additions to the staff that focus on recruitment and Cappos left. After 19 seasons something happened to his feelings. They will replace him with someone who has a similar vision to that of Woody. Not just someone he can control but someone who can grow. Iowa is going to be a team in the near future.

I want to hear reasoning behind this as well. All of these are good coaches (I don't know about Carthage or Wayne St. but the rest can perform well. So what's the reasoning?
Look at D2 and D3 national and conference results over the last 3 years and you will understand quickly why I mentioned those 2 schools.
