This board is full of some sad pathetic people. She is an assistant coach trying to get her start in the profession. Just STFU and move on. I don’t understand why you all need to betch and moan about this every time a woman gets a job. Would it be ok if it was a male? Coach Kennedy wants people he can trust and knows will do a great job. Clearly he sees that in her.

Stanford's DoP's was making over $100k a few years ago and my guess is now she's closer to $125k at Chapel Hill (I'm not going to bother looking it up). Basically, if you're Ops at the schools with real money, you're going to see some of that money.

Not sure about the excitement part but these jobs open all the time. Not sure why someone is upset about a female receiving a revolving door position.

Turns out we're both partially right and wrong. I am 100% right about what she made at Stanford. But I took the extra minute to look her up on UNC's public database & they have her base at $88,620. If you don't believe me, please go here: https://uncdm.northcarolina.edu/salaries/index.php# and put in Jessica Riden. Of course we all know that amount goes a lot further in Chapel Hill than it does Palo Alto - so she probably still got a significant raise. However, I'm betting that Miltenberg had her bonuses written in similar to the rest of the staff such that a successful year puts her over $100k - getting some of the same bonuses as the rest of the staff for team success. And for what my opinion is worth, a great DoP's at a school that actually wants to be good is worth every penny - which she is. As it turns out, after doing another minute of research (all of this is publicly available), she has a fancy new title (associate director of track and field) probably to justify the pay (and probably more accurately respect what she does). According to their website, she is not one of their countable six coaches. So her role is still essentially director of ops/support/administrative - but this is not meant as any slight towards her. Very cool she gets a title upgrade - hopefully what great DoP's can aspire to/that sets the standard.
Anyone have any inside scoop into what Montana is doing? They've had all summer to hire a coach after May resigned to go back to coach high school (strange enough) and still haven't announced anything.
This screams summer of 2008 when the same thing happened, Raunig left and they begged Schweyen back and brought in Babcock after "failed search" that dragged on all summer.

“Excitement” is the latest euphemism for hiring a female? just asking for a friend.
Word on the street is that Petros hires a home run with his Throws Coach. Should be announced soon. The new hire won’t have to travel too far to relocate.
Similar situation at Idaho. Throws coach left immediately after the season was over, then Idaho posted the job w/ very little interest, actually posted on here to try and generate interest…
Also today was announced he hired Dennis Mitchell as his Pole vault coach..can’t wait to see who the throws coach is! Clearly he’s putting together a very strong coaching with elite coaches and great recruiters.
Schepp will direct the NDSU multi-event athletes and pole vaulters. He comes to NDSU after coaching at the University of St. Thomas in the 2021-22 season.
