But we still have 3% to go to hit a new high, and Spanky will do something dramatic and terrible to get his tariff failure off the headlines and regain momentum. And that might knock the market back down.

Trump will play the appeal game, but be sure that the SCROTUS (Supreme Court RIghtwingers of the U.S.) have been told what they have to do ... Congress has to approve each tariff. When Congress fails, Trump will toss more red meat to his cult worshipers.

Survival rates, early detection and treatments have vastly improved. for example between 2000 and 2021 cancer incidence rates fell 5.7% snd mortality dropped 27.5% just because you are too stupid and too bias to know this doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

A lot people don’t know a train wreck when they see one. Trump has no clue about economics or really about anything else. Even with the sh*t hitting the fan, at this moment he’s celebrating a win (he says) in some asinine lawsuit against the Pulitzer Prize over “Russia, Russia, Russia”. Will this be another promise kept?
I was kind of looking forward, in a sadistic way, to seeing trump's tariff plan impoverish his supporters.
But now his supporters will not have giant price hikes after all, because donny failed again.
Ironically, this court cancelling Donny's tariffs is the best thing that could have happened to the Republican Party. Now we won't have inflation and recession, so they stand a chance in midterms.
Don's failures mean more prosperity for the nation so we should be happy to see them.
Of course, it's not just sadism or comeuppance or Karma or whatever. It's also just practical. There are enough Americans who don't care about ALL of the other dictatorial/corrupt/incompetent stuff that very noticeable inflation MIGHT be the ONLY way to get enough Americans to vote against Republicans in 2026, and remove at least some of Dictator Don's automatic support from Congress.
But hey, if it doesn't happen, there's obviously a big upside to that, and we can go back to hoping against hope that all of the other stuff EVENTUALLY becomes intolerable enough to enough people. But don't hold hold your breath on that happening, of course. You know, cuz America is "Great."
