Once upon a time an American man wanted to build a golf course in Scotland because his mother was born there. He submitted the plans but was told no, because it would damage the special environment. But this man didn't like to be told no, so he promised great jobs and riches so he could get his own way. The local people still said no, so he used some powerful friends to make it happen. Now some of these local people had lived on this land for generations and didn't want to sell to the American. Instead of offering a better price, this man set out to bully and intimidate these people off their land.
