Except for a handful of true fiscal hawks, the national debt and annual deficits won’t matter at all until a Democrat is in the White House. And it will go up substantially with this administration making no substantive cuts, reducing taxation and increasing the defense budget.
Well, in fairness, when you have a once-in-a-generation talent like Pete the Couch Sitter onboard, you want to significantly increase DoD's budget so that he can do great things with it.
