Can you read? I never said he has coaching ability... I was just merely pointing out that its very naive to think athletic ability has anything to do with coaching ability. Keep the bashing to experience and lack of knowledge
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan University Track and Field welcomed Nathan Probst as an assistant coach specializing in sprints and hurdles for the 2023-24
CHARLESTON, S.C. – Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Amy Seago has announced her plans to step down from her position, effective September 5.
On what planet is Brosnan high level? Are you referring to his coffee?
IMO Planet Earth. IMO He will be the new LMU coach if he want's to be. IMO when you are regarded as the most successful HS coach ever, within a calendar year turned UCLA into a who's who before not gettinf resigned...If he wants the LMU job they would love to have him
You must be young. UCLA has been this good before.. he didn't do anything earth shattering.
UMiami still hasnt hired a head distance coach???? Coach Griffiths is listed as a recruiting director not a coach… is Cody Halsey even confirmed to be leaving?
Hire? Yes. Keep? No. Hiring is the easy part. You keep your staff either by paying them enough to deal with your B.S. or by being a good person to work for. They have neither there. Rumor is 5th assistant is chomping at the bit to get out too.
Who left? Didn't they just hire two assistants this summer?
They currently have one full-time assistant coach, one Director of Ops, and two volunteers listed on their website. I believe they had 6 full-time coaches going into the summer.
Say what you want about Mr. Bovee. I am not on the inside of that huddle, so I don't know what plays he calls, and neither are you. What I do know is this: His assistants for the most part leave for "bigger" jobs. So the last guy just left ISU for Nebraska. Big difference. And I also know this: ISU isn't writing big checks to assistant coaches, so the turnover would be constant no matter who runs the show there. They still have a successful program in the MVC, so regardless of the kind of boss Mr. Bovee may be, they still get the job done in their mid-major environment.
....and now Illinois State lost its 4th coach this summer. I don't care what anyone has to say but something is going on there. Bovee cant keep coaches.

He doesn't have any athletic ability either.
No coaching experience. (If you count middle school as experience)
Dude was a manager for different sports, for 2 years. That is his experience and now he is a DI coach.
I am about 80% sure Damon Griffiths will work with distance. I think adding recruiting and operation coordinator to his title is a way to increase his salary. There is a 20% chance that they are still looking for a coach but at this point someone on staff is working with the distance runners
