Just wondering: Do you agree with Catturd all the time, or you disagree with him when he vehemently disagrees with Catturd’s earlier posts? I know not everyone cares about logical consistency and integrity, so you do you bro, but it makes a person wonder …
Don't care. Ivies have gone too woke. Undergrad is still important enough, but go look at other excellent colleges with a ton of research output (MIT, Caltech, etc), or go look at good research focused ones in other countries - China, Russia, etc. These are what should be emulated.
And I’d like to do what I can to support some guy dealing with the trauma one must experience after drunkenly driving over and murdering his own dog, but I’m not sure how far I should go to support a fellow human on that journey. Is the best method to post his tweets on here and imply my agreement? Or do I really have to post garbage on here that makes me look like an idiot, too? Or is it OK to retreat from the ravings of a clearly troubled and less-than-bright Florida Man?
our stupid, stupid president tries to destroy our most famous university and it should be no surprise foreigners won’t come here any more. We suck.
The brain drain is happening now. Reddit is flooded with kids who planned to do their STEM PhDs looking for advice to apply in Europe. All because a huge chunk of people in this country can’t admit that actually, having smart people around is good and we should listen to them

Trump is trying to destroy it all. He is trying to bring the king of universities under heel, so mit caltech etc will say ‘well if he can destroy Harvard he can destroy us too, let’s buckle under to the fascist.’
and when that happens, all higher education suffers and brains go elsewhere.
this is what all right wing authoritarian governments do. Bring the universities to heel and make them irrelevant.
you should care.

Republicans hate the rule of law because it means their leader couldn't do all the things he wants to do to this country.
Now they are getting rid of Marbury vs Madison, getting rid of the ability of courts to enforce the law against the executive branch. And that's pretty much it...if the exec branch has no check on it, we have ourselves a dictator.

You are obsessed and off your rocker! Did you vet Biden and Obama every day? You are clearly a very unhealthy and mentally unstable person. Try to reconnect with your family and ask for forgiveness.

agip: Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" basically establishes the presidency as a dictatorship.
From the article: "The measure in question prevents the federal courts from enforcing any contempt proceedings against federal employees. The language is couched in budget terms – the provision says the courts can’t spend any money enforcing any contempt findings against Trump’s lackeys."
