If the answer is that nobody predicted the opposite of what they wanted to happen then all of those predictions should probably not be considered predictions at all. They were all simply ways of restating one's preference.

I voted for Harris and was not embarrassed to do so or by her candidacy. When Biden dropped out, she was the logical choice because: It was the Biden/Harris campaign and its funds could go to her. The people had elected her second in line to the Presidency.
She beat Trump in the debate, so thinking on her feet was better than Trump.
She may not have been the best possible candidate, but in the circumstances, she was the best choice.

He was convicted of falsifying documents to fool the American people. He lost a lawsuit for slander and sexual assault. Is there another president who has had more criminals in his inner circle?
