Trump already failed to get the Ukraine war solved before he even started.
He gets partial credit (maybe) for Israel, but the framework was the Biden team.
DOGE has already lost Vivek due to his stupid comments before they even got working.
He wants to "drill baby drill" when we're already producing more oil than any time in history.
He promised lower prices but has already walked that back.
He'll secure a border that's already been secured (albeit -- after too many years of insecurity).
The failures will start soon and they will mount. He'll make dumb mistakes. He'll hire and fire a bunch of people. We all saw this show for four years before. Nothing has changed, he hasn't changed, and the people around him are arguably far less competent than before. If you ran a company, would you hire a guy for one of your most important positions if a condition of his employment was that he promised not to get drunk?
It's going to be a long four year clown show and then some poor Democrat will have to clean up the mess, probably won't even get any credit for it.
the scary and sad part is that trump will instruct the DOJ not to investigate anything to do with the executive branch, or Republicans in general. And the DOJ will obey.

This is because the world economy shut down, people saved a ton of money staying home, and then when the lockdowns ended, they went out to spend it all at once. The result was a flood of cash, not enough stuff because of labor shortages/broken supply chains, and inflation.
And sure, we decided to stimulate the economy and that added a bit to the inflation. That was the right move. The US has been the unquestionable star of the world economy. We have extended our lead over europe and china by major steps. Employment stayed very very very high. Wages rose more than inflation.
And now inflation is now back below its historical norms.
Pretty good! A booming economy, normal inflation, wages that beat inflation...nice! history will say the US 'won' the post covid era under Biden. Much better than if we had not low inflation because no one had a job!
I agree with most of that, it has been global. However, our debt is a serious problem that will come to roost eventually.
As I mentioned previously, the average home price is up significantly in the last 5 years and mortgage rates are over 7%. You need to make six figures to buy a house, and you’re stretching at low 6 figures in most areas. *Edit* - New homebuyer in general.
It’s better for me at the moment, but only because I have equity investments and 2 properties. Someone with very few investments making $50K 4 years ago and now making $60-65K early in their career is most likely in a worse spot. This is the main reason Trump won the election.
And yes, almost all incumbent leaders across the globe have been ousted in the recent elections.

yeah housing has been crazy for many years. Not exactly clear why, but not just a covid issue - home prices were rising before covid.
Problems seem to be multifold...fewer marriages so more people living alone needing two homes instead of one sucking up supply, red tape building new homes, home building companies gunshy to build after the great financial crisis, people want ever larger more expensive homes, people aging at home rather than going to nursing homes, AirBnB taking homes off the market, etc.
Interesting piece is that people insist on bigger homes. If they would just settle for how other people lived 30+ years ago they could sure buy a cheaper house. Square footage of new homes has gone through the roof, so to speak.
Will be interesting to see how a zero growth or negative growth population will affect housing prices. Should cause prices to fall. But that's longer term.

I just can’t f king believe this is really happening. It’s all I can think about, and the wall to wall media stress is not helping. I got nothing done at work today, and I’m nervous about not being able to sleep due to post election trauma anxiety.
Does anyone have advice? (please no Trumptards saying get over it)
