The good news is that these mega corporations have more money and time than Trump. They will do what is best for profitability and either publicly resist or play along. Trump will be gone in a few years, but they will remain. When it comes down to daily life, which is more important: cheap goods from Amazon & Walmart, etc. or Trump?
The other good news is that maga has shown that no one else can get their loyalty like Trump. Once he is gone the movement will be fractured into many factions. No other politician will likely be able to get them to cheer for policies that hurt them.

I doubt Trump will live long enough to get through this 4 year term based on his health. His mental health is obviously in decline also as he gets increasingly more angry and erratic. But, yes. A ton of destruction of the US in the meantime.
I'd love for Congress to stand up for their own power to stop much of the power grab, but the republicans are bowing down in fealty. They are giving away their own power and ultimately relevance.

Quick reminder that Harvard is a private college. There were no laws broken by the University or any of the others being targeted by Trump.
Also, Walmart, Amazon, Ford, etc. are free enterprise companies. Republicans used to believe in free enterprise. Now they cheer the president for demanding that companies take a business loss because of his policies or else! If it works, smaller and smaller companies will be targeted.

FYI: people who seek higher education are by definition more liberal than those who don't. The definition of liberal is:
