Kofuzi's results while using Runna don't reflect well on Runna. It's good to see Kofuzi seems to be more transparent now, however.

How many programs is this dude going to burn through?
To be objectively fair Kofuzi ran faster (for the Half Marathon) under us at Higher Running and got at PR at the distance.
After he blindsided us and quit (without doing as many "collab videos" as initially promised) he has apparently regressed under Runna.
Honestly when coaching him, we really struggled to get him to get on a consistent schedule of workouts because he was traveling so much...especially during that time (for the Olympics etc). Like a lot of months in there he was traveling 2-3 times a week...sometimes internationally. Travel can crush your training. He seemed to have a lot of jet-leg quite often and it seemed like his fueling/diet was very inconsistent because of the frequent travel and events.
Yes, you're not technically doing "LT2" for 13.1 miles unless you're racing an all-out Half Marathon and you're finishing that in close to 60-min flat.
I suppose he could have broken up an "LT2 workout" with 13 miles worth of total volume though... so something like 3 x 4 miles LT2 (rest)+ 1 mile LT2 etc. Still, that would be a crap ton of volume to really be doing at LT2 imo. I'd usually recommend people limit their true LT2 sessions to more like 8km-10km in total volume.
LT1 is totally different though.
So to confirm 30 miles of LT1 in a session is fine?
E.g 30xMile off 75s @ LT1.
Asking for a "friend"
Slight tangent: On the note of BIR, I don't think he's injured just a small niggle so being careful (well that's what I took from insta).

Hope you're well Mr Canaday. Loved your channel from 10 years ago, maybe more
I have full sympathy with you in this situation but I think it would be wise of you to just edit out/delete the content of this post. I don’t think its the best look that a coach is sharing information about their clients/athletes.

It's public info. Sage and Kofuzi discuss it openly in video interviews during the collab.

LOL. Kofuzi is a thief. He didn't settle up on his end of the deal, stealing the services of Higher Running. Poor Coach Sage & Sandi had to deal with that long-haired dope for what...a year? For nothing. God the world can be so cruel sometimes.

Sage, he is one of those people who care more about the brand sponsorships and money more than actually getting better. Tbh you probably should've stayed away from even trying to partner with him, but in hindsight it was good to see how quickly he caves for the chance to get another brand deal.
Unfortunately, the "LETS GOOOOO" social media sheep won't realize how nasty this behavior is.

I appreciate Sage trying to actually show him what it’s like to train but it’s obvious that Guy is a lost cause. He’s also an enemy of the sport at this point. Cancel that mutherfuker.

but is it a bit weird then when he's trying to run alongside you pacing Stephen @ Houston yelling "go Sage!" like a maniac? the vibes were kind of off but maybe he thinks if he cheers loudly enough (on camera of course) no one will notice?
Runna provides overly aggressive plans for basically everyone from what I've heard and Kofuzi already has problems with consistency in his racing efforts (London '24? this Miami '25 5k?). He was overcooked and he died out there at the Houston 1/2.
Plus he's getting older and has maybe not so great diet choices as captured by all the travel vlogs (things like that plus the hectic schedule really start to catch up on you when you're in your mid 40s).

Nah….that stuff mostly matters as you come closer to reaching max potential. Konfuzied simply doesn’t understand basic principles of training, yet is parading around the world like a celebrated runner. You can’t make this stuff up!

You mean the world's most ethical YouTuber who doesn't disclose free travel, actual payment for videos (his recent Tracksmith disaster of a video), but does tell us if the shoes worth 1/10th the travel or 1/100th the cost of the sponsorship, are free took coaching for free because he thinks he's entitled to free things since he's such a big influencer?
The comparison between the robocoaching and your coaching says that human coaching is the way to go.

You should change your name. Ethics isn’t the thing as much as integrity.

Nah you can still PR easily into your 40's. Once he hit sub-3 at Grandmas a few years ago he pretty much decided 'that's it!' and just bounces around mediocrity. Just another youtube gear reviewer which is just bleh. Especially with shoes that are very individual.

I get ripping on Kofuzi, but let's be honest, once you hit 40 it's game over. You're officially unc status.
