New Floberg video. When he started the inner monologue bit, I died. Then I came back to life and said to myself "I really have to stop watching this" but I knew I couldn't. Then when he started with those... vocalizations... to finish his workout, I died again. Fool me twice, shame on me.

That training run was a great race effort. He's unapologetically doing race efforts to finish workouts.

Significant asymmetrical arm swing at the end -- I hope that's not indicative of something going seriously wrong down the chain. Might not ruin his workouts but it could be a problem on race day. Or has he always had that?

Can't stop watching. 10/10. I hope he runs 2:30:00 for the ultimate drama.

It really has been a steady growth in cringe over the last years, when looking at some of his old videos (from the Boston series, or even further back) I must say I really like them but I don't know anymore. It's something with the videos from this winter and fall that has something weird over them. Over-produced, weird reasoning behind everything and has moved further away from the relatable working dad which also wants to run a fast marathon.

He hasn’t contacted any of the athletes who pay a subscription to his services in weeks. No info being shared. Seems off and must be detained or something drastic is happening for him and his wife to both be uncontactable. Hopefully they are safe atleast but not good.

For me, his channel has dived for multiple reasons:

- The fact he's promoting a scam nutrition brand, where the founder makes you believe his supplements will achieve his PED-produced body.

- He claims to be a family man, but everything revolves around his marathon training.

- Like SJD, he has a house/gym that is beyond his obvious means. He seems like a hustler though - so may not have wider, family wealth sources.

- Has someone filming him; this takes away from the authenticity of his content.

Even though I think Matt Fox is a complete idiot and a very unreliable person, I still hope he comes back soon. He is genuinely an interesting character, and in the IMO podcast, he dares to bring up bold ideas, whereas most podcasts are way too cautious and beat around the bush (for example, Believe in the Run constantly talks about things in their podcast (The Drop) and then follows up with "we can't say any names" or "we can't reveal the shoe"). Matt Fox is also a much more entertaining personality (some might say a lunatic) than Floberg, whose latest video is pure secondhand embarrassment from start to finish.

Followed this thread for a bit. Curious, do these running YTers make money? I’m a decent marathoner with kids and a teaching job right now. I also had surgery last summer so I’ve been in my return to serious running. Going to take some time away from teaching next fall as we welcome our third kid. Say I was to document some of this, anything specific you’d like to see? I’ll never run or race with a selfie stick but my kids play at the track for some of my workouts so maybe my wife could get some footage. Any free gear or dollars that would come with that viewership would def make our lives easier even if it’s just some dinner money

I would stick with teaching - unless you're a narcissistic w***** with mental health problems then you'll be right at home.

Actually, I think his flirtation with Maffetone provided his aerobic development which led to his Sub 3:00. No money to make from Maffetone though except for his PATH Projects collab.
