Great hire for Maine! Amazing amount of success at D2 school with very limited resources.

I know there were more qualified coaches that applied. No disrespect to the person hired, but I am not understanding the committee's decisions when it comes to hires. Across the nation more experienced coaches that have success with programs and recruiting success are being passed over for NEW coaches, and even coaches with ZERO experience. It is frustrating for the experienced coaches as they are working to stay in the profession, or even move up to the next level.

RMU was one of the worst distance programs in the country, his new bio brags about a 11:12 female in the steeplechase? This past outdoors he only had 4 female distance runners that finished a race. 2 years as a paid coach (likely part time) and gets a head coaching job at a good sized mid-major? HOW???

Not totally accurate depending on each school. It's close though I'd say for most normal schools.
