How about bringing the nation out of pandemic, and laying a solid groundwork for economic recovery? If Trump was not defeated, every state would need to build a golden statue of Trump so they can get federal aid from Jared Kushner’s stockpiles.

When you look at what’s happening with Russia and Ukraine, the drone is killing tremendous numbers of people. You hide behind a tree and the drone comes down, it circles you with fire, you don’t have a chance. The tree comes down also by the way. It’s so intense. I mean you see these trees being knocked down like, like there being sawed down by a top of the line timberman. Like, like you know who, Sean Duffy. Do you know that Sean Duffy, the head of the transportation department, who’s working right now on the airports and getting a system because Biden didn’t do a thing for four years. Pete Buttigieg was the head and he goes bicycling into work. He takes a bicycle to work. Can you believe? He’s running the biggest air system in the world and he takes a bicycle to work. What an…and they say he’s gonna run for president. I don’t see it. Who knows right? But I don’t see it. But uh, when I look at uh, what they’ve done, uh, it’s so horrible what they’ve done. And the work they did do, they wasted billions of dollars trying to hook up air systems to copper. And they tried to hook up copper to glass and the glass doesn’t work with the copper.

He is very bombastic with his threats, but it appears that he can be bought off cheaply--sign any pretty looking paper, with any sort of "statement of intent" that he can claim is a victory, and/or offer him a shiny airplane, and he might give you whatever you want.
If he were a more intelligent person, or had any experienced advisors, he could probably be making some headway with the authoritarian control, but, unfortunately, because of his isolation from experienced people (due to his fear of criticism), he seems to be easily hoodwinked into accepting almost any piece of paper as a "GREAT WIN".

the US economy was without doubt the global star, post covid, during biden's admin.
Trump managed to turn that around in just his first 100 days and now capital is fleeing the US. The US stock market is a global laggard as money runs away from Trump's America.

Maybe not. This may be another big loss for Trump like the vote to repeal Obamacare. Super right wing Republicans are opposing the bill because they want more cuts to medicaid on other programs. If those cuts go too far, purple district Republicans may oppose the bill. Ironically, Trump has lost control over the most Trumpy wing of his party.
Someday Trumpers will be forced to admit that Trumpism is good at politics, very good at creating a cult-like allegiance but pizz poor at actually governing the country. You know. Doing essential stuff like passing laws and easy stuff like approving budgets when they have majorities.
