As a past president of a local Rotary Club, I must say, if this is all a hoax, this club has a lot of explaining to do. This is not something Rotary Clubs should be getting involved with. I am not going to call them out just yet, but I can guarantee you if this is a hoax, and Rotary doesn't hand down disciplinary actions, I am done with Rotary and Rotary International. This stinks!
Why would Rossi do this? He damages the reputation of a few (apparently real?) innocent bystanders in PA, and the LR community gets a good laugh.

If she REALLY is the fastest woman in America, I'm sorry...but the OLYMPICS are kinda a big deal...why 2017? Why not get her in 10k shape and have her make it on the track.

seriously. enter a race with prize money, with other elites, SOMETHING. if this Jill Greathouse was smart she would recognize her own talent and prepare for the 2016 Olympcics. i've spent way too much time on this thread, so cheers to you Dr. Sedicum for trolling an entire letsrun community without even trying.

I'm soo confused by all of this.. Has there ever been a situation where the athlete, coach, and RD all make such crazy claims? It's all happening in real time and they are just continually feeding the beast. Again, can the brojos reach out to these buffoons and get some more in depth answers?!? Maybe the local new agencies should be tipped off that such a tremendous record attempt is taking place?

This is hilarious. Why would he be upset about an AMERICAN RECORD ATTEMPT receiving attention? Coaches, athletes and agents typically go out of their way to publicize something like this. Why would you want the fastest woman in the country to NOT receive attention for her running ability? This is just so bizarre. At least with Mike Rossi there was something I could understand, something I could wrap my head around about the whole thing. Here there's nothing. It's just weird through and through.

Yeah, looks like that's a high school girl from VA and unlike the PA Jill Greathouse, she even has some race results. There are also a few other persons named Jill(ian) Greathouse, but very little info about the one who's America's next distance running star. I like it better that way, the mystery only adds to intrigue.
I believe he said Boston 2017, so she has plenty of time to qualify.
But my gut says we are looking at a DNF followed by some excuse a la Alana Hadley.
Expect a twisted ankle or something, followed by a 31:20 10k in training the week after.

Yet another weekend warrior, Rossi-type obsessed with Boston, thinking it's the end all and Holy Grail of running, I guess? Anyone running American records during training runs would of course automatically focus on qualifying for Boston, not the Olympics. It's like dropping a 9.7 in the 100m at your local track, then shooting for the Powerade State Games of North Carolina.
