I know Malone is ranked ahead of Hillsdale, I do not see them beating Hillsdale however. If they do, this will be their final good race of the year. I think Wayne State will not top Ferris State, either. Your individual predictions are off a bit, too. Mirth is injured, and Roush is unreliable.

its a 4 loop course meaning roush will have plenty of opportunities to stare down Baltes again like the track 10k/5k.

I presume Batt doesn't even know who Malone is.
Are you talking about Kevin Batt? Or did you mean to type Baltes?

Malone has a great lower 25:00 range pack, plus they have a competitive top 3.They almost knocked off USI at the Regional Preview, and might come close to Grand Valley although I don't think they will take them down. Hillsdale has the same strengths as Malone but rely more on a two man front. Don't know if Mirth's injury is better, but that could play a big factor for them. Ashland has Baum and Hall who could both potentially get top 5. What really hurts them is the gap after their third man. This is where Hillsdale and Malone really put the hurt on them. Ferris State should be a little ways back from Ashland with the lack of a front runner, but have a nice consistent group.
We may start seeing which teams peaked too early during the season, but with that being said some teams will excel at conference but falter by the time Regionals come around.
ya Roush is a Grade A hiney sniffer
Solid post. What happened to Baum and Hall? I think they're down to 4 or 5 without those two. Top 10 are 1st team all conference, 11-20 are 2nd team all conference this year.
So I just looked at the meet program. It lists GV FR Zach Panning as a competitor for GV on Saturday. This is potentially big news. Panning ran unattached at Notre Dame, and had the third fastest time of any gv athlete that day being just .1 seconds behind Chad Cini's time. He also ran sub 25 at the Lansing CC meet, winning easily by over 20 seconds. Overall, I think GV's pack will be ahead of Malone's. I think it's possible for Hillsdale to beat Ashland but I won't predict it. I will stick with GV,Malone, Ashland, Hillsdale, Ferris. Should be a great meet.
Correction, Panning ran at the Muskegon CC meet and won by over 50 seconds. He ran 24:37.
I read the article on him winning the jayhawk invitational this year, today actually. I haven't heard of him before. Is he a freshman i'm assuming? I looked at the course map and it is about a half mile straight away into just short of 1 mile loop 5 times.
Yes, Panning is a freshman. He ran 9:12/15:18 in HS. He got 25th at one of the national meets last year, I think it was NXN. Panning won at Muskegon by 53 seconds this year. I can't wait to see what he runs at GLIACs.
Great " addition " to an already national title contending team.
It was NXN but he got 31st, not 25th.
Ruosh is a Master Turd Wrangler.
Tristy is a Fluffy Scrote Bungler.
Bottom line is Malone sucks cockkkk. They're going to blow up tomorrow, and regionals will be a complete abomination. Its going to be an embarrassing finish to the season for the Malonies.
