6-7 weeks left of the season how is my son supposed to hold his taper?

With his right hand.
The point the other guy made about Olaf and Eau Claire losing to Sioux Falls is interesting. Without 2 of their top 5 NCC still got close to nipping GVSU. Obviously Root wasnt on, I was in the race and he was back with us for the first quarter or so. I think Olaf and Eau Claire should be scared right now they havent shown any sense of depth compared to NCC. all its going to take is one injury to a scoring member of their team and they are going to be crippled. At least NCC could replace one or two and still put in a strong team performance.
On another note, Which top teams are going to the Brooks Oshkosh invitational?
Viterbo

Not too sure about Brooks invite but the Jim Drews will have UWL, Olaf, Plateville, Central, Iowa Central (assuming they have a couple top guys). That's on the 18th as well.
Brooks will have NCC, Oshkosh (obviously), Eau Claire, GVSU, Parkside (won the D2 race at Griak), Stout, and the all powerful Oshkosh alumni team. Probably a few other ranked teams also.
How tough is the Jim Drews course?
Looks like a relatively solid course. Not necessarily blazing fast but it's probably one of the few courses this year that are actually 8k. Miles 2 and 4 look like good places to grab a quick Smirnoff Ice and chug it without the crowd noticing. Last year Horton had some trouble with the twist-off cap and that cost him some time which led to his 25:32. Look for him to have learned his lesson and most likely take an early lead in this race. If it was me out there racing, I'd go with the Screwdriver flavor. That's what Tonui used last year...just saying

At the bluegold meet UWP didn't run their full A team.
Bigger news, how the hell does flotrack justify NCC as #1 in the fab 50 rankings? C'mon they LOST this weekend, if anything they should drop a few spots. Flotrack honestly can't figure it out apparently this time around.

They were 2nd to the #1 D2 team...
You're an idiot.
Can someone tell me how the heck UWL went up 7 spots on this weeks rankings? Does pussing your way out of a good meet make you seem better? Otherwise, Stout should be higher.

All I'm hearing is an excuse. That's not what champions do.

Whatever you say. You must be one of those champions with no excuses.
A few things about St. Olaf.
1) Their scorers had a 67 second spread at Blugold, exactly the same as when they won nationals last year.
2) #5 guy was Jake Brown, who was the #2 last year. He had been out with a minor injury and will very likely move up to #3 or 4 by end of season.
3) Last year's #5 Calvin Lehn, who's been out all year with a stress fracture, is rumored to be coming back. The question is will he be in shape enough to score? Even if he doesn't, it may not matter if both J. Brown and Phillip Meyer improve and tighten the spread. But if Lehn is their #6, that's all the depth they'll probably need to get it done.
I still think NCC are the ones to beat, but St. Olaf certainly has a chance.
Calvin Lehn isn't coming back. What's it like dickriding a private school?
All I'm saying is 67 second spread > 29 second spread, therefore, Olaf is clearly a greater threat.
I heard that GVSU held out most of their varsity at ND so I would expect then to score in the ball park of 20 points at oshkosh.

I would say 20 is a little ambitious but they will definitely bend NCC over the railing and have their way with them
