Some loon just shot a Congresswoman

The 3rd post on this thread shows how well people that follow the left know the left, it shows how predictably opportunistic they are. By the left I don't mean your average joe/jane-democrat walking down the street, they're good people, I'm talking about their leaders, the politicial left (which includes the media (krugman for instance), the intellectual elite, and the politicians), you do a great disservice to this nation by trying to politically profit off this tragedy. But you know what, I think the american people are on to you, and this reaction will backfire. You will continue to lose more and more of the reasonable Democrats I reference above and you will lose even more power in 2012 as a result of this.Sincerely,Conservative & proud of it.

Opportunistic? If the left has been pointing out the danger of such rhetoric, then (arguably) it comes to pass, how is that opportunistic? Maybe, in an alternate world, they were 'correct'.

Let's get one thing straight - Democrats have used targets - Palin/Tea Party used GUN SIGHTS. Stop trying to change the world to suit your imagination.

Targets can imply a lot of things (isn't there a store called Target?) while gun sights imply one thing, and one thing only - gun sights.

You can use a lot of different things to hit a target - that's why we have "sales targets", "carbon emission reduction targets" and "performance targets", but if you've got a gun sight then that means one thing and one thing only, you've got a gun in your hands.

"They" have talked about killing Republicans.

Name one elected official, or endorsed Democratic candidate, who not only stated that he/she would like to kill a Republican, and remained in office, retained the Democratic endorsement.
