Let’s put a bit of perspective here
The first thing that Trump did when he came in office is to find a loophole (security) to get out of the Canada/US/Mexico free trade agreement which he signed.
He immediately told the world that he could not be expected to abide to any agreement that he signs. EVEN WITH HIS BEST ALLIES.
That’s the backdrop to any agreement which he will try to sign in the next 4 years.
It is clear that the only reason that Zelensky went to Washington was to have a platform to explain why he cannot give 50% of his rare earth in exchange for someone simply brokering a ceasefire deal with the Russians (when there were ceasefire deals that were broken in the past).
Obviously, when JD realized that, he lost it
JD should have expected this.
Anyway, that’s only the first of many “non deals” which the US will have.
People just don’t sign deals with people who have a history of looking for loopholes.
Trump is trying to make Europe its enemy. Zelensky said, you know what, Europe is actually ok.
