I should have noted that I have no idea if there’s others… just that since he’s hit the big time (media wise), they are the only races I can recall him posting about.
It's good running, top 20 female contender at most local fun runs.

Even a single 24 hour race with 250+ km under race conditions would probably give all his other runs credibility . Then there's this weird master lap system that can easily be manipulated, no spectators, ect ect . I know some runners that run with 2 watches others carry batteries and charge while running because they know someone may call into question a result. Why for such an important run is just one vague system being used.
No way am I saying he's not being honest .It all just seems needlessly complicated. Just rope off the inner lanes and run in 1 lane and count each lap🤷♂️
I've got a great way to clearly track progress. Can keep this table updated over the coming days. The challenge is 1000 off 250 @ 4mph. Watch this:
1000 off 250 at 4mph 900 off 226 at 3.98 800 off 202 at 3.96 700 off 178 at 3.93 645 off 154 at 4.18 543 off 130 at 4.17 532 off 124 at 4.29 [current]
As can be seen the "run-rate" is starting to spike sharply, and will be at 4.5 and beyond very soon.
That's what I'm noticing as well, edging towards 7min km pace when running. Yesterday when he was consistently 6.05 to 6.10 pace he was able to sustain a good rhythm. Any lap slightly quicker, cost him 4 to 6 sec on the next lap, then a walk or toilet stop the lap after.
Interesting, he's running much slower, he's moving worse, but he still has fans say 'he's catching up to record pace'. At some stage he'll need a good sleep, and suddenly sub 13 days becomes a reality.
What most people forget (and have never experienced themselves) is, that the second half of a 1000 miles is still 500 miles. That's a "little" different than doing the second half of a Marathon.
He's doing better than i predicted but still 0% chance.
If he can't keep nutrition down or get enough sleep he won't even make the 1000m in any number of days.
I'm sure more runners would be behind him if he just went about it in a slightly different way. Plus all the circle jerking by his followers is quite cringey and deluded. Are they not seeing what's happening?!
Agreed he's doing very well . Very few ultra runners would be able to continue past this point however theres a fair few who could have gotten to where he's at currently .
It's pretty easy to see where the frustration is coming from in the ultra running community as he's positioned himself as an average tradie giving it a go. The reality of it is he's fully funded directly or indirectly by his achievements in ultra running. He says he's not a professional runner. There are no professional ultra runners in Australia. They all work full time and show up to races paying their entire way out of their own pocket. Next week the Australian backyard team will compete and all of them payed for their own flights , accommodation ect just to run for their country. It is likely no one will pay attention as none of them have a mullet
Ned Is doing a brilliant job as he'd be in a world of hurt but this is his job . For the elite ultra runners in Australia who can more than likely better his run unfortunately it's just a hobby

I have seen that many times. The people who criticize outrageous claims are called "hater" and the fanboys are calling: " You got this!
It will be interesting how long they will keep this up. The poor guy is definitely done. He is resting again.

the good news is that decline arrested, the bad news is that long rest periods surely incoming. We never know now when they'll be or how long they'll last
But using up at least 132 hours of the 250 for the half shows what an absurd premise this was.
The stuff about how easy it is for him to manipulate distance etc isn’t fair
He’s got a timing chip in one foot and a backup chip in another foot. There are reader mats at multiple places around the track. There’s an independent verification company that’s tracking the distance and verifying the video against the electronic timing system. His Strava distances from his watch are much further than what’s actually being recorded for the official distance. The whole thing is being live streamed. I think it’s fair to say he’s running the distance he’s saying he is…
The master lap thing is stupidly complicated but seems to just be because he thinks it’s easier to break down that way and maybe slightly less injury risk from changing directions and less angle in lane 8 than lane 1

I watched 'Race of Fire' last night- a 4 part documentary on YouTube about the 2001 Trans Australia Footrace, so presumably I can claim to have seen 'Washed-up ultra runner' and 'Trans Con Expert'.
It sounded very tough, but it did make me want to have a go!
Nedd Brockmann is gearing up for his next challenge, and we want YOU to be part of it. From October 20th to 29th, we're asking all Australians ??? including workplaces, schools, gyms, and groups of mates ??? to join Nedd's Un...

I didn't like this "documentary" much but I guess that's what's left on the internet about it. The Slovenian Telecom company had send a professional photographer and a technician to set up a satellite dish for expensive transmission of low res photos. There was a website as well but that disappears after a year or so.
Very tough race under very basic conditions. That "movie" doesn't do it much justice.
Seems legit to me. Doesn't stop the lane cutting that was going on, but to be fair, he's probably going wide sometimes too and he's also got to dive off the track every now and again... Shame no watch involved, but if you stopped 10m shy of the line in the Olympic final because your watch said you'd done 10k, I think they'd go with the finish line, rather than the watch 😉
