Yeah, this is a non-result. Looks like the tempoed a bit.
Niwot, Coronado, and Thompson Valley all perfect scored their league meets.
FWIW The top-to-bottom disparity in Colorado certainly seems greater than other states. Look at Utah. The bottom half teams still average in the 17:00s and 18:00s.
The median Utah 6A team averages 16:25 while the median Colorado 5A team averages 16:55.
The median Utah 5A team averages 17:10 while the median Colorado 4A team averages 17:55.
The median Utah 4A team averages 17:15 while the median Colorado 3A team averages 19:10.

Trying to compare XC times on different venues and in different conditions is a pointless endeavor.

Yes. And some top teams tempo in league meets if they have no competition, so that they can save their peak for state / NXR
Yeah, who will run the virtual meets and post the "top 1,000 sophomore returners" articles now? As far as thoughtful analysis goes, we've been on our own since Versaw.
Anyways, it looks like a few teams have caught the injury bug. Factoring that in, here's some guesses for 5A:
5A Boys
1. Niwot 2. Valor 3. Boulder 4. Rock Canyon 5. Mountain Vista
5A Girls
1. Mountain Vista 2. Chaparral 3. Fossil Ridge 4. Air Academy 5. Niwot
4A Boys
1. Coronado 2. Cheyenne Mountain 3. Thompson Valley 4. Summit 5. Eagle Valley

On the girl’s side your #4 teams are both legit state title contenders for their divisions and are probably too low. AA is rounding into form and MV is showing some weakness in the armor. I’d be more concerned with Chaparral as far as injuries (lost to Heritage at leagues, albeit down a runner or two). Conifer girls are tough.

Comparing times isn’t the best, because some people run on faster courses than others do

IKR! While I hope Bobby all the best with his mental health journey, his coverage was, well, sophomoric, and not worth the cost Flotrack extorts from their user base.
Great list, I basically agree, however, 2. Chaparral, 3. Fossil Ridge. Nope. Anyone in the know would know that AA and Niwot have been holding back. It will be hard to call 1,2,3 between MV, AA and Niwot girls right now. This race alone will make it worth the $10 they charge for parking at State. lol.
