That's really unfortunate. Texas women had an easy top 3 4x4. Happy they'll still easily win the team title (unless Alfred is hurt, she looked off today). Feel bad for the Texas girl. Think she thought the other white team was her teammate.

Talk about not seeing black or white.

She thought her teammate was in a different lane. Got mixed up on similar jersey colors.

Doesn't matter what her teammate looked like or that she saw a different jersey: It's the hand off between 1st runner and 2nd runner, they aren't cut in yet, she should have never left her lane. She left her lane in an exchange zone and interfered with multiple other teams. This is an easy DQ.

I think it was all the brightly painted lanes cross-crossing at that spot. She just took her eye off it for a moment, then became confused by the lines.

My father was a well known track coach in the 60's before going into business . He would constantly state not to wear white tops. I thought he was over the top, but I can see his point

Conditions are a little different, no? this is a track simon should be intimately familiar with and these are people she’s practiced with closely for a period of time significantly perhaps more than irby had trained with her teammates for a brand new event at the olympics…

He needs to be replaced NOW. He will just talk monotone through a collegiate record or all time mark, forget half of the runners names or schools, and has no idea about the tactics of each race.
