The thing I find strange about it all is that it's just so obvious, but we're all supposed to pretend we don't notice the donkey running with the thoroughbreds?
In some countries, it's illegal to film and distribute videos of school sports. Such videos are usually only available to team scouts.
In America, you can not only share these videos but you can have 13 pages of adults on a forum naming and shaming of children in the race.
I’m not a registered Democrat, but I support athletes competing in their identified gender. I don’t see this as a fairness issue. It’s a participation issue. It’s an acceptance issue. It’s a validation of humanity issue.
So if me a 4:13 miler decides I want to identify as a girl and break every record in women's history then it's okay just because everyone is forced to accept me or be called transphobic?
Well, because they’re not girls. In what world does the feelings of one person trump the feelings of all other competitors and the fairness of the competition itself?

In fact, I've been 15 once so I objectively have more of an insight into what identifying into that category actually means.

That is pretty much the only rule of sports: a level playing field. We probably won’t see eye to eye on this if you think feelings are a cause of undoing the basic foundation upon which athletics exist. What’s the point in even having two different categories based on sex at this point? On a side note: the Hitler- Jesse Owens bit doesn’t make a lick of sense.
