Mary Cain's times are still on the books and still better than Tuohy's other than the 5000m, which she wasn't training for and was running only to get another qualifier. Whether she's competing is irrelevant.
I can't speculate about whether Wiley's unofficial coach continued to be Nick Johnson when she ran her national record. Lauren Johnson paced her. Nor can I speculate about whether she was being doped as well, or with what, since neither is in the legal record, nor her name.
Natalie Cook's 5000m beats Tuohy's soundly. Tuohy's age is irrelevant because she never ran faster in high school, and not at all until she was 20. Cook at 18 ran 15:26, while Tuohy didn't break that until age 20.
So, again, the fact is that Wiley and Cain were faster at the 1600/mile, Cain and Cook faster at 2M, and Cook faster at 5000m in high school. My bet is that Cook at 19 in college will be faster in the 5000m than Tuohy was at 20.
