I'm still wondering why San Jose State has lost so many excellent sprinters the past few weeks. Anyone here have a clue as to what is going on?
Before anyone comes on here and starts ripping Coach Ryan, I spoke to one of the athlete who left and he told me that it had nothing to do with coaching.
It's a matter of institutional support. SJSU doesn't have a track and isn't going to get one thanks to the previous AD who wanted to kill the program so they have to travel to a high school track everyday. It's a CSU program in the Big West with no NIL money. The athlete who I spoke to wanted a real D1 experience instead of the glorified D2 program that the school's administration provides.
Huge pickup. I hope she stays healthy. USC has seemed like a black hole for talent as of recent. They should have broken the collegiate record in the 4x400 last year with the talent they have.
