50.92Norwood should’ve made a more aggressive move on the backstretch, Felix did not attack the first 200 and looked like she was in cruise control the whole time.
Bol split 48 high.
Felix giving up the lead was key as Norwood then became too tactical

I'm surprised Simon's split was that fast. That was classic rig.
I went back and watched on recording. No official link for splits that I’ve seen.
Why would it be important 😂 is it a disappointing way to start for the USA sure, but the people talking about putting the big dogs like MU and Syd are asinine first of all any potential gold medalist from the US ain't interested in doing this B-tier event reason why we got our 4th-5ths placers in it. Only legitimate argument would be Britton being put on considering what Simon ran in the prelims. Second before y'all mention Paulino and Bol running for their countries let me ask how many medals is DR or Netherlands going to win at these champs. In the end the people asking the big dogs to do a tune-up before there main event stop it this event was never in their plans to big with.
Bol cannot outrun either McLaughlin or Muhammad in a flat 400. Syd jogging would have carried the day.
Chronic US relay dysfunction needs professional help, preferably from somebody who knows nothing about the sport.
Who's the boofy English guy on the CBC feed?
Kamala's NeoCon hubby is handing out the hardware. Hope the world appreciates this.

Is FK the fastest-ever in a heat? I remember a bunch of 9.8’s one year, I think with Gatlin etc.
He is solid 2nd-tier, with Gay, Gatlin, Powell, Blake. Guys who could be relied-upon to go 9.7, and who did it on demand. Bolt is #1, of course.
Gay ran 9.77 a then AR in quarterfinals at USAs in 2008
Simon runs .3 slower than a fresh Felix after running this morning. I hope Michael Johnson sounds off on it, but Felix is just as culpable sad Simon.
Hope this doesn’t set the tone for the rest of the relays.
Official Splits for USA from the world athletics timetable are 44.71, 50.15, 44.40, and 50.90. Paulino ran 48.47 and Bol 48.95.
Yeah, nice catch!
Kerley really flipped a switch. Given how long Gatlin remained excellent, we could be watching Kerley for a long time.
This year has marked the official beginning of the Kerley era. Let’s hope it doesn’t progress like the Powell era did😂

... Lovett looks good too
Lovett has very good hip height at the top of his jumps, but he sometimes struggles with rotation and correct positioning of high point. I hope he pulls it out this year for a medal; it would be 13 years since his last "major" international medal (world youths).

You don't get it. This was a marketing stunt created for Allyson Felix and women's athletics. And they effed it up.
For the smarter kids of my generation, influencers are a revelation: they are the first to make it clear that the toys we're being sold are garbage, our teachers are phonies, our leaders are fools, our religious counselors are hypocrites, and even our parents are lying to us about damn near everything.
The results pdf https://media.aws.iaaf.org/competitiondocuments/pdf/7137279/AT-4X4-X-f----.RS6.pdf shows "Unsporting manner / improper conduct" for Dominican Republic, and "Lane infringement" for Nigeria. I wonder is there any effect from these.

I don’t know that parents are lying, I think they’re just oblivious and ignorant for the most part.
