Colin - 3rd highschooler EVER. I was hoping for under 3:55 but 3:56 is still ridiculous. Yay Colin!

Always nice to see the American really stick their noses in it and go for the win.

Believe the olive shirt is given to Olympic Champions only
Pretty awful positioning from Cooper and Cole. Cole was aggressive on the backstretch and able to salvage some but Cooper got boxed terribly.

Over Clayton Murphy.
Crouser sniffing the infield with these 75' plus throws. Too bad the ring is under water now
Sahlman 3:56 despite 17mph winds. He can go faster still.

And just like that Hocker > Teare.
Who cares?

This was a huge race for ColeMF Shocker. He would’ve easily been 2nd if he hadn’t gotten into that box on that home stretch. Watch out Jakob
Yet he still hasn't beaten his best from college, amazing how his improvement has stopped now the AIU are watching him.
Will Paulson's face down the stretch
Just a difference in experience at this level between the Oregon boys & Jakob. Jakob led but controlled his effort. Didn't have to worry about finding room to move. The big kick stuff is flashy in a 3:36 race @ USAs but isn't gonna matter as much in a fast race like this. Still have shots to medal. Would also say Kerr is prolly feeling better after watching this race.

Jakob is too good. Hocker should have been second but his positioning was terrible in the last 250. He looked like he has the strength to kick much harder
Thats what you get for never running international meets.
Definitely. It's lack of experience that cost him there. I'm sure he could have taken Hoare with a clear run
You think Murphy was mic’d up when he got outkicked by a high schooler?

It’s like the most talked about thing on letsrun/ flotrack lol.

But Hocker is definitely medal contender. Once he truly peaks, he could surprise a lot of people.
You know that everyone else will "truly peak" as well?
Jakob is so much faster than everyone else.
Watching greatness

If only he raced more internationally. He will always be boxed if he doesn’t get some experience.

“I’m more of a miler”
- Clayton Murphy
This race looked way too easy for him
