Nico Young has been doing only 100m sprints to reach his weekly mileage and it really showed that last lap
Calling it. Nico to Tokyo

Geeee I wonder why…
Maybe placing 5th in the 10k a few days ago would have some strain on his legs.
Lots of collegians in the final. If the pace is fast most will get dropped
the byu math program must be proud tonight.
1) Coburn
2) Frerichs
3) Murphy (yes I'm picking the upset)
4) Falland
Young looked alright.
I wonder if he competes.
Hill lost it somewhere in the middle.
So the shot putter only has a face mask when she’s throwing?

He was pretty smart to make sure the pace was fast enough mid race.
What happened to Ryan Hill? hasn't the man run 13:05 or faster? How does he get out in the first round. His 5km PR is easily in the top end of the group.

If Nico somehow beats the burrito track clubers everyone attending the meet needs to storm the field.

Has no realistic path. Even with the move to the morning start, the final is still going to be in around 90 degree heat. No way it's going 13:13. Mead is the only runner without the standard that can get through on world ranking.
Did Coburn fall asleep at the start?
Coburn didn’t even move on the gun.
Why is Emma running tactically? Just get to the front, run away from people, and don't worry about falls.
Why would coburn go straight to the back? She is in danger of getting tangled up if someone falls.
