im not sure someone with a long coaching career and accomplishments on their own would do well as a “mini-me”
I highly doubt she lets go of hurdles, though. Because even if she has him as her mini-me, I’m sure she will be the one coaching Rai still…as well as any of the USC hurdlers who have or might follow her. Now if she keeps her hand on only a few athletes, while the others are coached by a “mini-me”, it would inevitably lead to strife on the team. Lack of trust.
that’s one of the worst things that can occur on a team… when you have multiple coaches coaching an event.
For distance runners, having a few different coaches helps bc perspective is what drives their coaching and training…but sprinters and hurdlers do not benefit the same way from being coached by diff people.
