Not sure who left but I think it's Beau Brehm. His LinkedIn says July 2017 was the end date for his time at the position.
SeattleU - Kelly Sullivan HC
Awesome hire.

Seattle has a two lane track. Or is that just my imagination? Where do they train? At Garfield HS?
That was a short retirement....only 2 months by my count.
A major league upgrade over the Steidls!
When you run a D1 program like a mediocre D2 program & just post on social media about your trail runs, crap is what you get.
Hopefully Kelly gets the support of his athletic director and makes upgrades to the program. He needs to keep Chad Pharis on as his field events coach --he was far and away the best coach on the SeattleU staff!
It will still suck for SU to go to Garfield & other local high schools to train in the short term. He did mentor Greg Metcalf back in the day, so maybe he lets his athletes train at UW.
Yes, SeattleU does have a two lane 415-430 meter track (idk about official distance, but it isn't 400 meters). The track doesn't make the team but Garfield is definitley the better option. Chad Pharis is an excellent coach who has had success with really little and I also hope coach Sullivan keeps him on the staff. I'm sure the athletes will really appreciate and do well having a coach who places the team's successes over that of their own.
So does Pharris specialize more in the sprints side or the field event side?
who did wyoming and utrgv hire?

So....Who are they??
Former Oregon State coach Kelly Sullivan is now taking a shot at steering SeattleU out of the craphole Steidl left him. He has 10x the credibility of the Steidl. Admittedly, he will still have the challenges the previous staff had with facilities, and scholarships. Just in name recognition, he will do a better job in recruiting in-state athletes and establishing a rapport with HS coaches, which was the downfall of Steidl...that and the fact that he was able to raise the money to build OSU's track facility.
Shouldn't Central Michigan and UMASS be on this list? Any word on Portland State finalists? How about UCLA sprints and jumps?

Chad Pharis specializes in jumps. Specifically high jump. He was a Big 12 champion at Texas Tech clearing 7 feet 2.5 inches. A good athlete to look up when thinking of Chad''s skill set is multiple time WAC champion and 2x NCAA regional qualifier Shaddye Melu. While being coached by Chad, Shaddye went 47.39 in the 400m and jumped 7 feet .5 inches. He also coached Dylan Burnet to a WAC individual title and the NCAA regional meet in the javelin. All of this is without any kind of facility (jumps, throws, weird track) at SeattleU's disposal for him to utilize. Although jumps is his strong suit Chad is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to track and field.
