I know that adults can walk and chew gum at the same time, but I still find talk of anything but the CORRUPTION of this plane thing to be a distraction from that main issue.
When someone decides that this is somehow NOT infinitely corrupt, THEN we can move on to logistics and cost. Of course, no one can or ever will be able to do that, so I think it best to more-or-less 100% focus on the corruption.

Also, let's think about how intelligence threats are VERY much different with Trump. Top 2 threats:
1) Russia. He's already on their side, so I'm not sure how much it matters if they can hear him take a dump on the plane.
