I give this Wigand dude credit for at least having the balls to show up around here. The going is very tough for Trump haters right now and it's not going to get any better. The others are in hiding, licking their wounds.
JPMORGAN: “.. The trade war shock is still material. .. we now estimate an effective ex-ante tariff rate of 14.4%. This is akin to a $475bn tax hike on US households and businesses, worth 1.6% of GDP (still sitting close to the largest tax hike in the post WWII period).”
Obama direct quote: With or without Congress, I am going to act on my own. I have got a pen, and I have got a phone"
So oh bright one, please tell us again how Congress works? If Trump said that, you'd call him what you already do, but when Obama says it....crickets.
You are just a terrible liar and a terrible person. And you will weasel out of this one....but you lost in November Mr. Wigand, so that's good enough for me.
Congress votes and is allowed to vote against the President. Thank you for asking.
And it’s a badge of honor to be called a terrible person by someone such as yourself. I’m sure Franco and Pinochet would have said the same about me and I would taken their comments with just as much appreciation as your reassuring words.
Obama. "With or without Congress..."
Re-read his post. How you can respond like you did to that post shows you are mental. WOW!

It’s like when you are sliding fast down a cliff, any slowdown should be celebrated with a sign of relief. I told you, we are on the right path!
“It is hard to express, without resorting to expletives, how stupid it is to suggest that the United States, world's richest economy with a population of 340 million, should have a bilateral trade balance of zero (no trade surplus or trade deficit) with every country in the world.”

Nice to see you're alive big man! It's rough out there for you right now, hang in there, only 4 years less 3 months to go. Thinking of you
So 16.3 billion dollars were collected in April by the us government from the businesses, and a significant portion will be transferred to the us consumers as inflated prices. Democrats are trying to distribute wealth to the citizens, while republicans are collecting money from citizens to make the country rich. Which is a better way to protect women’s sports?

Wrong.
At least not according to my sources, and fwiw, I have heard before that we don't have have a trade balance of zero with all countries. But per AI search:
"No, the US does not have a zero bilateral trade balance with every country. In 2024, the US had trade deficits with 92 countries and surpluses with 111 countries, according to The Motley Fool."

Balls are essential for posting in this thread. You have to have balls of wrought iron. You have to be willing to sacrifice principle over your very own veracity. Do you have any idea how hard that is for the average common man out there on the streets? Just because you make it look easy, doesn’t mean it is.
You need poise and moxie to post in this thread. Both. You need poise and you need moxie. Few have both.

Trade imbalance is bad, and we need to fix this with every country. The best way is to collect tariffs on imported goods from countries with a trade deficit, and tariffs on exported goods to countries we have a trade surplus. More money for the government, fair trade with every nation, art of deal forever. If Trump is smart, he should do this right now.

Agreed. It’s abundantly clear that tariffs are the only way to save the American economy ruined by decades of liberal malfeasance and graftage. International trade deficits are a zero sum game crying out for inversion and meaningful, prohibitory tariffs. How else can we defend the future for America’s kids who have been ripped off by foreign countries since inception? Trump has turned the tide. No longer will America be shoved around by globalists and foreign nations.

Keep up, old man. This past weekend, it became ok once again to buy sh** from China. The prices will almost certainly be higher, though, thank you very much. And the imbalance will remain.
Just think how impossible actually keeping up with this stuff would be for the rubes?! “Whatever Trump says is great!” is way, way easier.

Tariffs are great !!!
Unfortunately, we just got 115% less great with China.
DEER Dumb Americans: In the last week, I’ve made sure that Rolls Royces stay perfectly affordable, and I’m getting my own personal wide body. But my warning about excessive doll purchases TO YOU stands!!
