By the way, having been in a conflict zone, running in it is not a good idea, and not wishing to come across as misogynist, especially for women and girls.

Therein lies the problem, the marketing, PR, social media fluff, etc becomes the overriding priority. The actual stunt they're involved in becomes almost secondary, it's as if they're saying we can bluff our way through that as long as we get the media, PR, etc right, that's where the money is.

A friend of the RV driver who has supported her (the driver driver) own ultra running (100k) who now lives in Colorado... so not quite random but definitely a kind soul!
Looks like she's trekking along on her way to 80+! I wonder how they'll handle tomorrow...

No one was bundled into any police car. You don't get removed by the police for simply following a stunt runner that has ASKED to be followed.
By some remote chance someone DID show up it's a lie to say it was anyone from here as the first thing they would have done is post about it.
Huge over reaction if they did call the police when they requested people follow them.

Exactly. .. little and often thats how most ultra runners eat. Certainly how I eat and how most ultrarunners I have seen eat.
It's only 10km hobby joggers who stop to "eat a gel" which is probably the reason why the food fascist thinks that stopping to eat is the only way to do it because that's what he does on his mom's treadmill.
