Proposed order establishing (or more accurately, re-establishing) that there are two sexes. Sex is the correct term. Saying “there are two genders” is also incorrect entirely. There are many genders. But they shouldn’t be recognized as a matter of policy because it shouldn’t affect anything in reality.
Yes, there are niche intersex issues, etc., but we don’t need to be defining policy in broad strokes by pretending it’s a bigger issue than it is. We can work on those issues, but we need to start with the factual premise that there are two sexes (with rare exceptions because of errors in the process by which humans come into being).
